In the afternoon we took a tour up Pacaya volcano which was one of the coolest things I've ever done. The trek up took about 1.5 hours and meant we got pretty high. It’s still active and so we were within meters of the flowing lava and were able to toast marsh mallows where we were walking.
As we came down it was getting dark and as we were above the clouds the sunset and cloud formations were pretty spectacular. That combined with the full moon really did make it unforgettable.
